Using Nomey
Nomey is a shopping list with Malaysian prices in it. One trip runs through four steps, and the same loop repeats whether you are buying six things or a hundred.
- Plan. Add what you need in ordinary words, or scan a barcode to pin down the exact product. Set a budget for the trip and Nomey estimates the spend as the list grows.
- Compare. Search a product to see what it costs and where. Nomey totals your whole list against nearby stores so you can tell which one is actually cheaper for this trip.
- Shop. Items group by aisle so you walk the store once. Tick things into the trolley and the running total, the projected till total and the budget remaining all move with you.
- Remember. Finish the trip and it moves to Bought, with the receipt photo, the totals and every price you paid.
Nomey is free. Lists, budgets, price search, store comparison, scanning, receipts and household sharing are all included, with no trial, no tiers and no card.
Shopping lists and budgets
Setting a budget
A budget belongs to a trip, not to a month. Set what you want to spend and Nomey shows three separate figures while you shop: what is in the trolley now, what the till is heading towards once the rest of the list is added, and how much of the budget is left.
Why the projected total can move
The till projection is built from the prices Nomey has for the items still on your list. If some of those items have no price yet, the projection is incomplete, and Nomey says so rather than showing you a confident number that might be wrong. The same applies to store comparison: totals covering different numbers of items are not ranked against each other, because a cheaper total that misses half your list is not cheaper.
Sharing with your household
A list can be shared with your household, so more than one person can add to it and shop from it.
Where prices come from
Nomey does not invent prices. Every price it shows is labelled with where it came from and how old it is, so you can judge it yourself. There are three kinds:
- PriceCatcher. Official figures published by KPDN for tracked items, shown with the date they were recorded.
- Reported by shoppers. What other Nomey shoppers paid recently, shown with the number of reports behind it.
- Your own receipts. Prices read from receipts you have kept, so your own history counts as evidence too.
A price in Nomey is a record of what something cost somewhere, at some time. It is not a quotation, and the shelf price can differ.
Receipts and past trips
When a trip is finished it moves to Bought, together with the receipt photo, the totals and the prices you actually paid. That history is what makes the next list quicker to build and what turns your own receipts into price evidence.
Where Nomey cannot reconcile a receipt line against your list on its own, it asks you rather than deciding for you. It will not silently replace a price you recorded with one it read from a receipt.
Account and access
This website has no account and no sign-in. Nothing here needs one, and there is nothing to log in to on nomey.my. Your lists, budgets and receipts live in the Nomey app, not on this site.

Reporting a problem
The most useful report says which store and which product, what price Nomey showed, what the shelf or the till actually said, and roughly when. A photo of the receipt or the shelf label settles most price questions on its own.
